Mike is a partner in the firm's Virginia office. He is admitted to practice law in Virginia, Maryland and in the District of Columbia. Mike was born in Osaka, Japan, and received his B.A.(cum laude, 1971) and his J.D.(1974) degrees from The University of Virginia. His practice emphasizes family wealth preservation and transfer planning, trust and estate administration, advising family and other closely held businesses, and commercial real estate transactions, including secured lending. Mike is active in various community and charitable organizations, and serves as an advisor, fiduciary or director, for several family, charitable and business entities. Warren S. Oliveri, Jr. - wsoliveri@knlaw.com
Warren is a life-long Washingtonian. He received both his undergraduate and law school degrees from Georgetown University, in Washington, D.C. His practice lies principally with commercial real estate, including the purchase and sale of commercial office buildings and shopping centers, lending documentation regarding those properties, as well as all aspects of office and retail leasing, both from a landlord's and tenant's perspective. He lectures extensively to the commercial real estate community as well as to other lawyers through continuing legal education courses. As the President of the Board of Directors of the Legal Aid Bureau in Maryland since 1996, Warren has proven his commitment to insuring the delivery of civil legal services to low-income members of our community. Warren is admitted to practice in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia.

Kathleen (Katy) Donovan Tammadge - ktammadge@knlaw.com
Katy is a partner in the firm's Virginia office. She is a member of the District of Columbia and Virginia bars. Born in Washington, D.C., she received her B.A. degree from the State University of New York at Albany (1987, cum laude) and her J.D. degree from Georgetown University (1991, cum laude). Katy has been practicing law since 1992 when she joined K&N as an associate. In the years she has been with K&N she has developed her specialties in business and real estate transactions. Katy has extensive experience in the acquisition, financing, disposition and leasing of commercial real property, as well as with the formation, purchase and sale of businesses. She is the author of "Women Associates Advancement to Partner Status in Private Law Firms," published in Georgetown's Journal of Legal Ethics in 1990.

Michele is a 1998 graduate of the George Mason University School of Law and received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Virginia's School of Arts and Sciences in 1992. She is licensed to practice in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia, and also practices before the U.S. District and Bankruptcy Courts in the Washington metropolitan area. She is an active member of the Fairfax Bar Association, the Arlington Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association. Born in Los Angeles, Nick moved to the Washington area in 1967 and is an associate at the firm’s Virginia office. Nick earned his undergraduate degree (Magna Cum Laude, 1985) and Masters of Business Administration (1991) from the University of Maryland at College Park and his Juris Doctor (1991) from the University of Maryland at Baltimore City. Nick is a member of the Fairfax County Board of Equalization of Real Estate Values and is admitted to practice law in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. His primary areas of practice include commercial real estate transactions (with an emphasis on commercial leases), business law and landlord-tenant litigation.

Albert B. Ellentuck is a member of the District of Columbia and Virginia Bars. He received a B.S. Degree in Accounting from New York University in 1953 and a J.D. Degree from Harvard Law School in 1956. He was an attorney in the Office of Chief counsel of the Internal Revenue Service from 1958-1964, was the Managing Tax Partner of the international accounting firm of Laventhol & Horwath from 1975 - 1989, and is the past Chairman of the Tax Division of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is a nationally known speaker and author on a variety of estate planning and tax subjects, serves as contributing editor for the AICPA publication The Tax Advisor, and also writes a monthly tax column for them. He is a member of the Practitioner's Publishing Company's Tax Action Panel, and is the author of several of the books in the Practitioner's Publishing Company's tax series.

Albert B. Ellentuck has been named by the "Washington Smart CEO" magazine as one of the top attorneys in the Washington, D.C. area. He concentrates on trusts and estates, wealth transition planning, asset protection and business succession; and serves as corporate counsel to closely held businesses, colleges and other non-profit organizations.
